In late 2007, Dodge stepped up the Ram pick-up with several changes including a major drive line step up including an engine change to 6.7L and a whole new generation 68RFE transmission. The increase in horse power and torque mainly came from changes in the injectors and CP3 pump along with programming but a huge improvement in emission controls can be contributed to the variable control turbocharger. BD has many options to choose from for OEM quality or better replacement parts, or, performance upgrades with the fuel system, turbocharger, transmission and suspension.

With increases in horse power and torque, or, towing heavier weights have exposed some hidden drivability issues with today's pick-ups - "death wobble", wandering and axle rolling just to name a few.
